Assistant to Amelia Earhart during Earth's 20th century, Noonan was with his boss when she was abducted by aliens in 1937. He was transported to a Delta Quadrant planet where he was put into suspended animation; woken by Janeway in 2371, Fred was naturally stunned by his new surroundings. A naturally suspicious man, he initially believed that some form of Earthly conspiracy was afoot. Eventually the evidence convinced him of the truth, and he decided to settle on the planet. [1]
