Russel was a doctor who travelled aboard the Enterprise-D in 2368. She had a tendancy to use experimental treatments on her patients, which Doctor Crusher regarded as unethical behaviour. Nevertheless, one of her treatments was able to restore Worf's mobility after he was paralysed in an accident. [1]
