A man encountered by Voyager in 2377, Otrin's species had virtually obliterated themselves centuries before when the Earth probe Friendship One landed on their planet with a cargo of advanced technological information. His people used antimatter technology to build weapons and reactors, but a devastating accident polluted their world. Like the rest of his people, Otrin was badly scarred by radiation. Much of the damage was repaired by Seven of Nine's nanoprobes, leading Otrin to gain a degree of trust for Voyager's crew. [1]
