A member of the Boraalan species, Vorin and the other members of his village were saved by Nikolai Rozhenko when their planet's atmosphere was destroyed. A malfunction in the Enterprise-D holodeck released Vorin from the holographic environment Nikolai had placed him in. Deeply shocked at finding himself aboard the ship, Vorin took his own life. [1]
