Mardah was a resident of Deep Space Nine in 2371. She had a brief romantic involvement with Jake Sisko, something his father found a little distressing at first since she worked for Quark as a Dabo girl. However, Sisko came to accept her more when he realised how much she cared for his son. Mardah has a brother and sister named Sarjeno and Koran; neither approved of her career choice, and they had not spoken for years. [2] Her relationship with Jake ended when she was accepted to the science academy on Regulus III, three hundred light years from Deep Space Nine. [1]
