A member of the Q continuum, Q sat in judgement of Q after he spent some time aboard the Starship Voyager under Captain Janeway's tutelage. The continuum hoped that Q's time aboard the ship would curb some of his unruly tendancies. Although this did indeed happen, Q felt that not enough progress had been made and judged Q unworthy of being a member of the continuum. She relented when Q threatened to leave the continuum if Q was forced out. [1]
