Clara was the daughter of Enterprise-D crewmember Ensign Daniel Sutter. She moved between several different ships as a child, and as a result had few friends. She created an imaginary friend, Isabella, to make up for this. In 2368 an alien life form imitated Isabella whilst the ship was investigating the FGC-47 nebula. [1]
