A Tholian, Yazkene [The Emerald] was a member of the Tholian ruling body. In 2265 he took part in a discussion on the Political Castemoot Sublink of the Tholian telepathic lattice concerning the Federation intrusion into the Taurus Reach. He pointed out that although Tholia had long planned to defend against a Klingon incursion into the Reach, known as the "Shedai Sector" to them, no plans had been made to deal with the Federation's intrusion. During the course of the conversation he experienced the massively powerful alien thought pulse which disrupted the lattice. [1]
