Vasso L'Gaelia was a male R'ongovarian and diplomat. He commanded the R'ongovarian flagship, a largely symbolic vessel powered by an antiquated solar sail. He took part in negotiations with the Admiral April, Captain Pike and Spock over their potential membership of the Federation. [1]
When Pike noticed their liking of empathy for their negotiating partners, he responded by telling them the reason that they shouldn't join. This so impressed the Captain that he agreed to join the Federation. [1]
In 2261, Captain L'Gaelia joined the Federation day celebrations on Starbase 1 as the R'ongovian delegate. [2]
