Born on Earth in 2223 in Kenya. [2]

During the Federation - Klingon war he was based on the moon of J'Gal in the beta quadrant, where he served in the Mobile Combat Surgical Unit. When the special forces unit failed to take out the Klingon leadership he was believed to have taken on the mission himself, he was rumoured to have killed General Gra'Val, Commander Kiff and Captain Ruh'lis. History shows that this was actually the act of the Butcher of J'Gal, Dak'Rah. [2]

He later became a member of the medical staff of the NCC 1701 Enterprise [1], Jabilo [3] M'Benga interned on a Vulcan ward and was considered an expert on Vulcan medicine. [1] In 2265 he served on Starbase 47 (Vanguard) in the Taurus Reach. [3] He would later transfer to the USS Enterprise, where his expertise with Vulcans was invaluable when Spock was shot whilst visiting the planet Neural. [1]
