Alvarado was a male Human who served as a Starfleet officer during the Federation - Klingon war. He was injured during the battle on J'Gal. He suffered a massive chest would and was beamed into the Mobile Combat Surgical Unit where he was triaged by Nurse Christine Chapel. When she saw the extent of his wounds she called for a medic. Doctor M'Benga attended and determined that Alvarado suffered from "internal bleeding and massive damage to every major organ." Chapel suggested that she prep him for surgery, but M'Benga reminded her that they did not have an internal organ regenerator. He temporarily stored his pattern in the transporters buffer while they waited for the situation to improve. Some time later, when a heavy casualty load was inbound, M'Benga detailed his pattern to make way for others. [1]
