A Kadi, Tomin was in training to become a member of his people's strict religious order. Whilst aboard voyager he violated many of the tenets of his religion, indulging himself in such evils as alcoholic drink. Fortunately he was able to sober up by the time his superior arrived to collect him, and in any case it transpired that such indiscretions are not uncommon in the youth of a Kadi. [1]
