In 2261 a joint Federation / M'Kroon investigation into the archeology of Vadia IX reviled a hidden high tech building. Investigations later revealed it to be a dimensional prison to hold the Vezda, a non-corporal life-form described as pure evil. During the encounter one of the team was possessed by a Vezda leading to their death. [1]

The entrance system for the Dimensional Prison requires a blood sacrifice. It sounds dramatic, however, in practice it turned out to be a needle prick to the finger and a drop of blood in a hopper. Once supplied the applicant is scanned and, if accepted, the door opens. Other people are able to enter with the applicant. Any attempt to leave without them is met with disintegration. [1]
